With the state of the US government where it currently is I am trying my best not to spend to much money except for essentials. If I do spend money I'm doing my best to support small businesses. At home we are working on our garden, cooking and baking ourselves.
My husband and I are working to re-open our little gothic shop, which is expanding into the area that was once our friends gallery. It is a scary time to be taking such a huge risk, but life is short and here we are. We are working on new products, new fashions and art. My husband and I have been so busy that I am once again having a hard time keeping up with the blog but I will continue to try to post!
That being said here is this months love it list!
Baking Vegan Cookies

My daughter has an egg allergy so I have taken up baking so she can enjoy cookies and cakes like her brother. I typically don't bake cookies because I have had a hard time in the past creating cookies mostly just making mush. But I have decided at my daughters behest to make a cookie recipe. I use to make cakes from box mix but now I make them from scratch, so it makes scence to try making cookies again!
Pillow-Case Purse

I have been obsessed with the pillow-case purse since I first saw the Silky version. The late fashion brand The Vampires Wife also had a version of the pillow-case purse that I absolutely adored. So naturally with the expenditure of my little goth shop I decided I need to make my own version for the re-opening! Available online and instore!
Morning Yoga and Meditation
I have been so busy that I had to make a conscious decision to take time for myself. Of course the majority of my day is spent either working on the brand, or doing my parent thing. Time for myself is few and far between, which is to be expected. But with the stress of work, parenting a child with ADHD and Odd and a toddler I had to find the time to focus on my own mental and psychical well being. I tend to wake up around 5- 530am. I do my thing, bathe, make lunch for the kid and with whatever little time left for the house begins to stir, I do my meditation and yoga. Sometimes you just have to make the time for a bit of self care especially when life is stressful n more ways then just one.
Coffin Shaped Trellis

With spring in bloom gardening is something I am actively doing when I have free time. My husband created these amazing coffin shaped mini trellises for me for the shop and for my garden. I love them!
